The 54th edition of the Fair of Milan closed its doors on April 19th. After five intense days of work, which gathered more than 2,000 exhibitors, the results seem bittersweet. Even if the impressions were quite enthusiastic, we cannot overlook the decrease in the number of visitors: while in 2014, 357,212 people attended the event, in 2015 it has dropped to 311,000.
However, it is highly positive that the Fair has continued to increase its international popularity. This is corroborated by the large variety of nationalities that attended iSaloni. We would like to underline the upward trend of potential buyers from Russia and the Middle East, especially from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Egypt. The increase of visitors from North America, UK and India, also deserves special recognition.
Regarding the new Salone Ufficio we should underline their innovative and original ideas. Their work is focused on the creation of more pleasant office environments that help improve the creativity of workers.
The Milan Fair has become a showcase of the fashion trends. Its influence and international weight provide the references to be followed by our sector in the coming months, or even in the coming years.
The variety of styles, ideas, nationalities and the huge attendance recorded this year turn Milan into one of the largest international fairs of the furniture industry. A strongly recommended appointment for buyers and sellers in our sector, as well as for professionals in the furniture international transport.
Next appointment: From 12th to 17th April 2016. Save the date!
